While in Aust we...

While in Aust we visited the two churches that i used to be part of when I lived there. I was only in each town for 2 weeks (and KS only 1 week). We visited all the services (one of the churches has 4 in one weekend!) as well as Bible study groups throughout the week.

One of the churches also organised a lunch at church, they cooked soup and sausages.
We also were invited to a Christmas in July dinner party, and one lady put on an afternoon tea so I could do our watering can presentation.

I also spoke to a year 9 class and went to an ESl class at church, as well as joined a group of ladies for their Friday lunch out. I went to a mid week seniors service and then stayed for the roast lunch afterwards.

We also joined the monthly missionary prayer fellowship group one evening, and went to youth group on friday. Mostly we were doing our watering can presentation (a Cambodia trivia game, plus power point), and sometimes KS was talking about how he became a Christian.

I also had interview for my job next year, then the paperwork to do. We went to visit our old Bible school to do a presentation one day and also meet with a leader to talk about next year. We also met with some leaders of a mission organisation we are thinking of joining.

We were so busy each day! We didn't have much time to go around and catch up with friends, so we set aside one day for ppl to visit us. Our friend we were staying with let us use her house- people came and went all day. It was exciting to see old friends.

Another good thing about PHAW was that i had my days planned for me, I spent the whole in the class room basically, then did homework at night. Now back to my normal life I need to keep track of lots of bits and pieces. I end up writing lots of lists, and keeping a time sheet of the day, and a week plan. Today I spent a lot of time doing "home side" stuff and related to PNB. I also did a bit of language study. I planned to do some English Fellowship planning, but didn't quite make it. I went to the market to get some veggies. Yesterday a lot of the same stuff plus going to the primary school. Hadn't seen the teachers for ages so was nice to see them again.

Last two weeks i was doing a workshop, it was great. Really useful stuff. It was also nice as the day only started at 8.30, it was only a short ride away and the weather was nice and cool, and it was fun to hang out with the others, and we ate cake twice a day.
Now thats its over i'm getting on with doing the stuff i learnt, it was such good timing for me. In early jan i was at home by myself trying to work on project new box. The workshop was exactly what i needed, feel equipped!

At the moment I'm doing a workshop about "home assignment". Its been really exciting so far, lots of good ideas. The first half of this month I was sitting at home by myself trying to work out how to organise Project New Box. This workshop is is great for that! I just hope I can remember why I was so excited when it comes time to have everything done, and then do it.

Its also fun to spend each day with new/old friends. There are 10 of us doing it, and two trainers. We are all working in various different Asian countries, and we are at least 6 nationalities.
