Christmas at the Bible school

I spent Tuesday morning cleaning/rearranging the house and packing. Soeun had invited some of the youth from his church to come to the Bible school and join in the celebrations, and ten of the were to stay the night, hence the cleaning etc. To my relief only four of them did, the others took motos home after dinner.

The Bible school Christmas was held on Tuesday afternoon in the hall. The students had decorated it a few days before, here is a photo of the backdrop of the stage. 

All the staff and students took turns singing out the front and one teacher preached a sermon. There was also prizes given out and a movie about Jesus' birth shown. After that we ate a buffet lunch outside on the volley ball court. By then it was dark. The evening was spent dancing in the hall.

We were leaving early on Wednesday morning. The four staying at our house knew this so we were all up getting ready to go. All was going well until one boy couldn't get out of the bathroom. He was using the one we have the washing machine in, so we don't ever close the door. They worked on it for ages, trying all sorts of things. It turned out the lock was stuck. As it was 6am, too early to call someone to do it, but the eventually got it off themselves.

So we were panicking at the time as we wanted to get started on the long drive but it worked out ok, and it was another situation to hear my new word that I've been hearing in different places- like here and here.
