after a run of good nights, a not- so -great night

2 weeks, new belly button, new fat cheeks and double chin

Baby had a good sleep from 10.30-1.30am, but has been unsettled since then, errk! But at least he's not as noisy as the first week, and at least we both slept during those crucial 3 hours!

I spent yesterday morning reading the forms again, and the afternoon rang the embassy and clinic and sent some emails to friends. Turns out although the info says we must get a bank draft in Bangkok, the lady on the phone said we can get one here, and sounds like we have some options of ppl to certify documents ( so we don't have to send originals) and endorse photos.

I'm really glad we were here for the birth and for these first few weeks, as well as having food etc done for us here, there are nurses/midwives who have been visiting and helping us with feeding etc. I think its going to be hard going back to Cambodia as I only just started settling in after 2 years away, so its a bit strange i'm so anxious to get the paperwork done, I've been wishing I could have done more on it sooner, even tho i've been doing as much as i can....I guess its cos Soeun is pretty eager to go home and get settled properly and get involved in normal life and ministry again. Whereas I'm enjoying everything being on hold, and the two of us can have all our attention and energy just getting to know Baby.
