| We couldn't get Baby to smile so instead we tried to make the same face as him. |

First week Baby wanted to feed all night. Since then we have been trying to keep him really awake for feeds so he is swallowing really well, maybe before he he wasn't really feeding. I guess with time he is learning about night, and getting further away from when he had jaundice and formula which are also things that might mess up milk consumption and production so I'm told.
Before he was born I'd read and been told its good to have low lights for night feeds so you don't get too awake and have trouble getting back to sleep, but for now if feels like we really need to wake him up really well with lights and whatever else. Also, I had read that babies might sleep and feed every 2-3 hours day and night and that you should rest when they rest. But that didn't work in our first week, as there were no breaks between nights feeds.
So in the first week I was sitting up almost 24/7 so of course my back issues made a reappearance. Since then I've started feeding lying down, as well as tried a few chairs, and lots of different pillow arrangements, as well as the fact that i'm having 1-4 hour breaks I'm not putting the strain on it as much anymore, but i think the damage may have been done, may need to see see a physio.
My upper back/shoulder/arms were really tired and sore, but it was my lower back that was scaring me, starting to get shooting pain like in 2006. Even when I was sitting it was hurting.
