Going down! Day 85

I took this photo today to show that the water is going down. Day 83 and 84 were high and we think that was the highest it will get. Can you see that dry patch of cement? It wasn't there yesterday.
Yesterday Soeun said he felt it was the first day of cool season, which means the end of rainy season, and it certainly has been cold. I woke up early this morning shivering and sneezing, it was only 24 deg.C! So cold! "Winter" is here. Time to find something with long sleeves.
In and email from Australia:
"We would love to have all your water here. I don't seem to be able to download it though. "

  1. heh 24 degrees, you're killing me, we wore long sleeves and jackets all summer where it topped 24 degrees here in Ireland and only on a couple of days. it seems like it rains constantly in Ireland, year round, and I also walk through puddles and mud each day. But as the Aussies will be thinking 'atleast there's water to drink!' :) Shame about the lack of sun up this way though, I miss it.

However I'm heading to Thailand in 17 days!!!! I'm kinda bummed that I didn't decide to come visit you guys too, though I need to lie on a beach some where and catch up on a years worth of sleep and sunshine.

Hrmn maybe I can come visit this time next year. I guess December is a great time to go to Cambodia like in Thailand? After rainy season and in nice (not too hot for us) weather?

    Love and hugs,
    Jaime

  2. It got down to 23 this morning SO COLD!!!!!!Wearing one of my pairs of socks.
I've been reading lots of fiction (trashy chic lit) from Ireland, and I know the characters are fictional so i think i've started to think the place is too, but then the same place names come up in your emails so its like you've jumped into one of my books- are you fictional too??
the characters are often day dreaming about going on a "sun holiday" somewhere hot- it takes me awhile to work out why.
yeah the tourist peak season here is Dec/jan- cool season, I think flights are more expensive then, esp late dec/earlyjan.
have fun in thailand- don't get sunburnt!!
