We left around 8amish in the morning.

We drove behind the truck. As I watched all the kids bouncing around in the back I was glad I was sitting in the car.

I think until recently the roads were really bad but now they are building them. We had to detour around lots of bridges under construction.

About 10am the truck came to a stop. Something was wrong with the battery. They used our car battery to try to start it again.

After that we drove the driver back to a village to find a guy who can fix trucks, then we all went back out again. The fix it guy fiddle around with the truck then found he needed to buy a part from the village. So he went on a moto to get the part and came back to fix it.

The truck ended up being stuck there on the road from about 10am until 3.30. Everyone had packed lunch so they ate lunch while we drove into a village to find the fix it guy. When we got back we drove to another village for lunch and to get water for everyone. Our car battery was taken out and put back in numerous times through the day. I read a book and took lots of photos of the road and trees. After more than five hours wait we were finally on our way!

But then, after only 20 mins on the road the truck got a flat tyre!!!!!! Everyone laughed.

The broken tyre went in the boot of our car and off to be fixed in a village. When we got back to the truck and got going again it was 5.30pm, too late to visit Koh Ker so we headed back home. All the way back the kids were yelling and waving at people on the side of the road, and in passing trucks. Everyone seemed to be having fun- it was really funny to watch. It was 7.30 and dark by the time we got back, which I thought was a little dangerous as the truck didn't have headlights.
