Traffic accidents

On Friday we went to visit "B" at his place just out of Phnom Penh. The other week he had a moto accident and he isn't going to be able to walk for ages.
He and two nephews were on a moto and were hit by a car on their left. They were thrown on the ground. "B"s head hit the ground a few times and his helmet split open- imagine if he hadn't been wearing one!
Before pulling his leg out from under his moto he rang a family member to tell them what happened and where he was. It's good he did it in that order as when he tried to get out from under his moto he saw his leg twisted in a strange way. He must have fainted because the next thing he remembers was being in hospital.
One of his nephews had some bleeding in his brain and can't remember things anymore. It sounds like he won't recover from this. Is that what we call brain damage?
The driver of the car gave them 1000USD for all three. Just for "B"they have already spent more than that.
Please pray that his leg will heal well and quickly. Its been less than 2 weeks and he is already feeling bored not being able to walk. His family lives in a wooden house on stilts, as he can't climb up the ladder to get inside he sleeps under the house.

The other person we know of who had a bad accident recently we don't know any more about. No one we know has been to see him recently. All we know is he and a missionary were in a car crash and the missionary died.
