Some teenagers from Preah Vihear province are staying in PP at the moment. On Saturday they went into town and saw lots of different things. They came back excited and among other exciting things they had to report, they told me they had seen expats wearing shorts. The next day they went to a shopping mall and had their first escalator and lift/elevator ride. One girl who is usually so noisy became very quiet for the rest of the day, it was all a bit much I think. When the team from Bible school went to visit these guys in PVH in March it was a bit of a cross cultural experience for them, so its natural PVH people will be feeling the same here in the city.
And talking about PVH, one year later the soldiers are still at the temple. The papers often have something about it. Yesterday it was about the Thai soldiers who cross over.
