We just had Khmer New year, we went to visit family early to avoid the crowds and high ticket prices, it was the Babys first long bus trip!
We got back to the city and spent the actual kny having a staycation, mostly just being at home and sleeping and not having to do anything much.
 For Soeun it meant he spent a day with friends in their village- the plan was to eat snails but they were too expensive so they had beef instead. For me it meant relaxing at home without having people coming in (students, cleaner, family) as they were all away. Like many other expats i have someone to wash my floors which is great but it is nice to just have the 3 of us at home. The girl who cleans ours is a student. Also I spent half a day on my bike, rode a a cafe at the riverside and back again, it was fun , haven't been able to ride much since having a baby.
